Chris is a Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years of experience in commercial real estate across the UK plus Central & Eastern Europe. His background spans valuation, development and large-scale portfolio management. Chris co-founded DC Green to apply this expertise to renewable energy, helping landlords unlock long-term value while accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Douglas Hardman
Director & Co-Founder
Douglas brings decades of capital markets and real estate investment experience across the UK, Continental Europe, and the CEE region. He was formerly Investment Director for CEE and then Head of Investment for Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa for a global advisory firm. At DC Green, Douglas focuses on bridging the gap between institutional landlords and renewable energy, ensuring that our model is both commercially sound and scalable.

Our third co-founder is still en route to take up his role. He is an EMEA Capital Markets Investment Director at a global multi-asset manager with $150bn under management.

The wider DC Green team brings together industry professionals with a wide range of skill sets ranging from energy, ESG and corporate governance, data analytics, software development and utility scale renewable energy development.
Our collective experience includes senior management roles and board positions in prominent listed companies, with extensive track records in portfolio management, investment strategy, quantitative research and ESG strategy enhancement. Our team has led significant transactions in both the listed and unlisted real estate sectors, with leadership roles at top-tier global property advisory firms, investment managers and private equity real estate asset management companies.
Their collective expertise in structuring investment vehicles and securing institutional capital is central to DC Green’s ability to deliver attractive, risk-adjusted returns at scale.
Dr. Tim Akhurst
CTO
Tim holds a PhD in Computational Systems in Biology and has deep expertise in financial technology and full software development lifecycle within City of London banking. He leads DC Green’s technology strategy, ensuring robust modelling, data analytics, and systems that underpin our open-book, transparent approach to energy-as-a-service.
Anne Krausse
Non-Executive Director (ESG & Strategy)
Anne is ESG Programme Lead at Global Switch, one of Europe’s largest data centre developers. She advises DC Green on environmental and sustainability strategy, helping us align our business model with evolving ESG benchmarks and stakeholder expectations.
Kim Rowsell
Business Development Director
Based in Warsaw, Kim joined DC Green from Longwing Energy with a focus on industrial and wind technology. With a background in ESG and business development, Kim leads landlord and occupier engagement across Poland and Central Europe, building the partnerships that drive our pipeline.
Brad Quayle
Director
Brad qualified as a South Africa Chartered Accountant and was previously a Partner in Deloitte Central Europe and subsequently also in Saudi Arabia. He specialised in Mergers and Acquisitions and Restructuring and has operated in Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and Australia, including energy projects covering privatisation of national gas operations, acquisitions of: regional electricity grids, bio-mass power producers and wind farms.
Przemysław Czarnecki
Technical Consultant
Przemyslaw Czarnecki is an R&D Manager and photovoltaic systems specialist with experience delivering utility-scale solar projects. He supports DC Green’s CTO on technology strategy, innovation scouting, and prototype development across emerging PV and BESS technologies.
He previously spent three years designing photovoltaic farms end-to-end, including production modelling, system layouts, regulatory coordination, and technical documentation. His expertise includes SCAPS, PVsyst, PV*SOL, and advanced modelling of emerging PV materials such as flexible photovoltaics.
Przemylsaw is currently pursuing a PhD in Photovoltaics at Lodz University of Technology.
